What do you do when children murder children?
Who put the gun in their hands?
Was it the media?
The government?
Their parents?
Who pulled the trigger?
Why did they keep pulling their triggers?
Who is responsible?
Why did they do it?
What did they think it would accomplish?
What should be done?
To them?
For them?
To prevent this from happening again?
What do other children think of this?
Does it frighten them?
Does it intrigue them?
Does it horrify them?
What do the parents of the murdered ones think?
What do the parents of the murderers think?
How do they feel about what has happened?
Do they feel that it isn't their fault?
Has this happened before?
Will it happen again?
How can we stop this?
Can I send my children to school?
Can I know that my children will never do something like this?
What is the difference between a child and an adult?
Did these children really know what they were doing?
Do children know right from wrong?
Are children ever really innocent?

How do you answer these questions?

Notes: This was written after the grade-school shooting, which I think happened before Columbine.
